He received a BS in General Theatre with an Acting Focus from Towson University, and studied for a year abroad at Dartington College of Arts in Totnes, UK while working toward his undergraduate degree. Later he received his MFA in Acting from Southern Methodist University.

As a regional actor he's appeared in many critically acclaimed productions with diverse companies like the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival and The Shakespeare Theatre, Folger Theatre, Everyman Theatre, Constellation Theatre Company, Baltimore Shakespeare Theatre, Imagination Stage, and Taffety Punk, among others. He has also worked internationally with Without Gas (a company he co-founded), which toured England, Poland, and Slovakia, as well as the Edinburgh Fringe First Award winning company Highway Diner.

He has lectured, taught, and led workshops at such diverse educational institutions as George Washington Carver Center for Arts & Technology, Towson University, Southern Methodist University, Saint Timothy's School, the Hannah Moore School, The International Music Institute and Festival USA, summer education programs with both The Shakespeare Theatre and The Utah Shakespearean Festival, as well as workshops at various festivals and theatres throughout Europe.

As a monologue coach Mark has a proven track record of helping actors and students achieve success. Mark's former students attend prestigious programs at such colleges and universities as Rutgers Mason Gross, Pace University, Ithaca College, Nazareth College, Towson University among others, as well as success in auditioning for many local and professional theatre companies and productions. He understands the immediate differences of what it takes to prepare for an academic institution vs. a professional production. He is sensitive to all the questions young and novice actors should be asking and answering before they even enter the audition room.

Student Feedback
"Workshopping monologues with Mr. Krawczyk in 3 words: Intense. Liberating. Effective.
As a monologue coach, Mr. Krawczyk is able to dissect your monologue performance, pulling it apart piece by piece. Then, displaying each piece in front of you, asking the questions that you never thought to answer. Examining the fine details, that you never thought mattered. And finally, putting those pieces back together, creating a 3 dimensional character and monologue performance. It is this process that helped me unlock and uproot a classic comedic monologue that I was preparing for college auditions. By the end of one session, there was a clear shift in my confidence with the piece, my understanding of the character, and my delivery. Working that monologue specifically and others with Mr. Krawczyk, definitely better prepared me for my college auditions."
- Ashley, Pace University

"I had to prepare for a total of seven auditions my senior year of high school. Not only did Mr. Krawcyk give me honest feedback about my audition material, he gave me the drive to keep trying new things with it. The workshops I had with him helped me have a better understanding of the text, a better connection with the character and all together gave me the confidence I needed when walking in on that first audition day."
- Claire, Nazareth College

"Last year as I entered my senior year of high school, I had no idea what to do with myself. I knew I wanted to be an actor, but I didn’t know whether college or going straight into the business was the best option for me. Mark Krawczyk thoroughly prepared me for both options. Whether it was cold reads, working monologues, or learning how to read from a teleprompter in an audition, Mark was there to guide me through the process; taking his audition seminar class taught me how to walk into a room of strangers fully prepared to do whatever was asked of me and do it with confidence in myself. I can honestly say that without Mark’s help, I would not be where I am today. I spent countless lunch periods and class time working my college monologues with Mark. He’s very good at spotting your strengths and helping you to harness them to their full potential. He will also find your weaknesses and guide you on your way overcoming them. He always had great insights and helped me to come to a fuller life within each and everyone of my pieces. When I was worried about not getting into my top choice college, he sat me down and spent a good hour and a half explaining the business to me: what I would need to do, how to move forward, etc. It was immensely helpful as a young actor to hear about the business from someone who has been immersed in it for years; and there’s no sugar coating with Mark, just reality, which I found wildly refreshing. If you’re looking for someone who really knows what they’re talking about and will work tirelessly with you, Mark is your guy."
- Annie, Rutgers Mason Gross School of The Arts
